* In server window I would like to see what channels I have joined instead of going thru every card --[[User:En0x|en0x]] 19:52, 5 November 2009 (UTC) ---Is separate cards for each channel/user really the best layout usage? Just an idea, but would maybe a dropdown menu from the top right to switch between all of them, and then just one card for each server work best?[[User:Jhoff80|Jhoff80]]
- I think this could be set via preferences, but maybe you would simply display a list of all channels/private messages belonging to a server when it is tapped, as well as a status option, instead of having multiple cards. Then you'd just use the back gesture to switch, with perhaps the option of detaching specific channels/querys into their own cards. [[User:Tlp|Tlp]] 06:09, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
* Went from home wifi to work 1x, disconnected and reconnected when got to work. Noticed message about channel I do not auto-join in server status scene, and then returnValue: 0 after some mode events.
* Joined #webos and saw messages coming to service but never saw messages in gui.
* Probably need to start looking into cleaning up stuff when cards are swiped.
* I kicked someone, and then got kicked in the gui. Then I swiped all cards away and it didn't disconnect me from server. I bring up wIRC again and it's green/connected but can't rejoin channels well the card spawns but I got no messages.
* Need to remove some unreadable colors from nick autocolor --[[User:En0x|en0x]] 19:52, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
ok so i took a look at the PalmDatabase.db3 and it looks like we need to dump 3 tables

ok this is a very raw version of stuff

So we want to dump all our messages from PalmDatabase.db3

here is one simple way to do it

WELL IT LOOKS LIKE com_palm_pim_Message is not the right thing. This a view in sqlite database... I have search for a table that keeps all the info..

back to search

to dump the messages to file:

<nowiki>echo ".mode insert" > cookies; sqlite3 -init cookies /var/luna/data/dbdata/PalmDatabase.db3 'select * from com_palm_pim_Message' >/tmp/messages.sql;rm cookie</nowiki>

to insert it to our database:

<nowiki> cat /tmp/messages.sql| sqlite3 /var/luna/data/dbdata/PalmDatabase.db3</nowiki>

the question now is how to import it to freshly created database....

anyway what I was trying to do is to:

remove my database on pre...
does palm has a script to create the new database?! (PalmDatabase.db3)???????
if yes then run the script... and try to import my messages to check if everything is working fine....

if everything is working fine we should be able to write a simple script to do that automatically for us... and it also could send the whole messages.sql to our email so we will have it for future reference
and also we will be able to use the file to insert the messages to our new PalmDatabse.db3 file after webos doctor.

I hate losing my messages

-- according to sqlite com_palm_pim_Message is a view need to research about it... i'm not so good in sqlite

Idea: Add a small "Details" or "+" button on the app and plugins pages. It can go at the end of the description, or possibly to the right of the very large "Install/Delete" button. It may not be wanted though. I know we don't want to show version numbers on the app page, but I'd love to have some way to access the version number and changelog from within the Preware app, even if its semi-hidden. I read the results of Rick's papercraft gui study, and agree with a lot of the comments, but I still feel like this is something that would be helpful to have available somewhere in the app, even if it isn't immediately obvious how to get to it (since its not something that is necessarily required by the average user). --[[User:Zinge|Zinge]] 02:29, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

what is the purpose of having a license id? —[[user:X1011|X1011]] 04:51, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Since the Preware app is listed for Open Source projects it was mentioned it would be nice to have it listed on the information button (which may be moved to a drop down at the right of the top title). Really treating the info screen as the information normal users do not care about seeing immediately. The license id is just a standard id that will never change. --[[User:Templarian|Templarian]] 14:12, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

are you saying the name of a license is likely to change? i doubt that. if you must have a license id, though, just make it a number like all the other ids. —[[user:X1011|X1011]] 04:35, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
what is the purpose of having a license id?

Yea, probably change that to a number sometime. --[[User:Templarian|Templarian]] 05:29, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Is this going to replace the application pages in this wiki? I think it should.
For "preware.org/feed/xml/application/23/" since it shares id's, couldn't it just be "/xml/23/". --[[user:Templarian|Templarian]]
== GUI Addition: Version# and Changelog ==

Looks good, but we may want to change the "list" icon to something that look less like "go back to the app list". My suggestions are- are lowercase "i" or the "+" symbol. Any better ideas? --[[User:Zinge|Zinge]] 02:56, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
