Hardware visible to the Linux kernel:
Upgraded Hardware
Post your links to higher-capacity batteries, quality Micro-USB cables, and other hardware upgrades for the Pre below. These links are intended to provide researched-out buys on hardware for the community. Think of it as you writing a review for a particular piece of hardware.
- Cheap 1' Micro-USB Cable - I haven't ordered one of these yet, but I'm thinking about it. Sounds like a good price. There was talk of these Micro-USB cables on IRC today (09/19/09). ~ ultraBlack
- I have ordered three of the monoprice cables. I had some initial trouble with one computer at work where it would only charge - no menu would pop up letting me choose between Media Sync, USB Drive, and Charge. This problem has gone away now. It may have been solved with a reboot of the phone. ~ odinsdream
- I also ordered a handful of Car Charger (Cigarette Lighter) to USB Female Converter - Black and 3 ft USB A/male to Micro USB 5 pin male Cable. Together they work great. -btuchten
